- Lead and manage all plant and equipment operations, including workshops, yards, and site based equipment activities.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Ensure equipment availability and efficient allocation to meet project requirements and schedules.
- Oversee equipment inspections, mobilization, demobilization, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor fleet performance, utilization rates, and equipment productivity across all projects.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for maintenance, repairs, spare parts, fuel, and capital expenditures.
- Establish cost control measures to optimize equipment operating costs and reduce downtime.
- Analyze maintenance and operating costs and implement initiatives to improve cost efficiency.
- Monitor and control inventory levels of spare parts and consumables to avoid overstocking and shortages.
- Evaluate equipment life cycle costs and provide recommendations for replacement, refurbishment, or disposal.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Plant & Equipment policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture within the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Plant & Equipment Management within construction, heavy equipment, piling, ground improvement, or infrastructure industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role leading large fleets of construction equipment
- Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment including cranes, piling rigs, excavators, loaders, generators, and ground improvement equipment
- Proven experience in maintenance management, asset management, and cost control
- Demonstrated experience in developing policies, procedures, and SOPs for plant and equipment operations
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of heavy equipment
- Proficiency in ERP and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem solving skills

About the Role

- Familiarity with major equipment brands such as Liebherr, Bauer, Caterpillar, Doosan, Hitachi, XCMG, Junttan, BSP, and similar heavy equipment brands.
- Experience managing multi project operations across the Middle East.
