Role Description
- The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the procurement of goods and services to support company operations and projects.
- This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
- The Procurement Manager plays a critical role in vendor management, negotiation, and maintaining supply chain efficiency.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Manage the procurement process including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract award.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings and value for the company.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to meet project schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, finance, operations) for procurement needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Analyze market trends and supplier conditions to identify opportunities and risks.
- Manage procurement budgets and cost control measures.
- Resolve supplier issues, delays, and discrepancies effectively
Functional Pre-Requisites Skills
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Vendor management and sourcing expertise
- Cost analysis and budgeting skills
- Knowledge of procurement systems and processes
- Risk management and decision-making
- Experience: 8-12 Years of Manufacturing Facilities/Factories experience is mandatory
