Planning Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop detailed baseline and look-ahead project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, and variance analysis to management and clients.
- Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to align critical path activities.
- Manage Extension of Time claims and provide planning support for variation orders.
- Ensure resource-loaded schedules include manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Conduct delay analysis and forensic planning when required.
- Maintain the project work breakdown structure, cost loading, and cash-flow forecasting.
- Liaise with clients and consultants for schedule approvals and progress meetings.
Experience
