Planning Engineer - Fitout

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master baseline schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project for multiple concurrent projects.
• Sequence submittals, long-lead procurement, joinery production, and site fit-out activities to avoid delays.
• Generate weekly progress updates, two- and four-week look-aheads, S-curves, and manpower histograms.
• Identify bottlenecks and critical-path risks and propose schedule recovery plans.
• Support Extension of Time submissions and delay impact analyses with accurate documented data.
• Coordinate milestone targets with project managers, subcontractors, and developer or landlord teams.
• Track progress against baseline and flag variances to senior management.
• Coordinate long-lead procurement and joinery production against the master schedule.
• Attend site progress meetings and provide planning input for decision-making.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Four to seven or more years of experience as a Planning Engineer in the UAE.
• Direct experience with interior fit-out and joinery projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Excel.
• MS Project experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai fit-out processes, trade sequencing, and authority or landlord approval workflows.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret schedule data and communicate risks clearly.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across design, procurement, and site teams.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-track projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
