About the Role
A leading maritime organisation in Qatar is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer for marine and ship-repair projects. The role involves preparing project schedules, allocating resources, and coordinating across teams.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the Marine Project Baseline Schedule in line with the Scope of Work, defining activity sequences and durations
- Develop Marine Bid Schedules
- Allocate manpower in accordance with operational needs, monitor execution hours, and ensure all work orders are completed on schedule
- Prepare monthly reports, including manpower planning and forecasts, project completion, cost reports, and dock and jetty occupancy
- Monitor daily project progress and escalate challenges and risks to the Manager – Planning
- Coordinate across Production, Estimation, Procurement, and Central Stores to align manpower and materials with project demands
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in ship repair project planning and cost control
- Proficiency in Primavera (P6), MS Project, Power BI, and MS Office
- Business fluent English; Arabic is an advantage
- Strong skills in time management, prioritisation, problem solving, and stakeholder communication
