Planning Engineer (Civil Engineer) - 12 Months

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
• Establish project baselines, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct schedule analysis, delay assessments, and recovery planning.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Track resource allocation, productivity, and project performance indicators.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Prepare management dashboards and presentations on project status.
• Ensure compliance with planning standards, procedures, and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in BSc, BEng, BA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of overall experience in project planning and scheduling.
• At least 7 years of experience in a Senior Planning Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and project controls.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and related planning software.
• Experience in engineering, construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, aviation, or industrial projects is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and multidisciplinary project environments.

Preferred Skills

• Primavera P6 certification is preferred.
• Experience in Earned Value Management is preferred.
• Strong understanding of risk management and project controls is preferred.
• Advanced reporting and scheduling expertise is preferred.
