Job Objective

  • As a

Pki Administrator And Support Engineer

working with the client project support team in Qatar, you are responsible for the technical administration of the PKI and for executing the routine day to day PKI processes.

As a member of this function, you will also be involved in maintaining the PKI management cycle working in close collaboration with other functions including supporting the client Digital ID applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Configuration of the PKI solution in compliance with the target certificate policies, approved CPS and configuration guides.
  • Maintain configuration and maintenance manuals.
  • Monitor the PKI services by reviewing relevant application and security log files of the PKI solution components.
  • Provide technical support to other team members (platform and network administrators) to maintain the security of the overall PKI infrastructure.
  • Respond to PKI related incidents channeled through the network and platform administrators.
  • Execute the operational ceremonies of the PKI under the supervision of the compliance officer and other team members.
  • Participate in the change management cycle by testing new PKI components (fixes, updates) recommended by vendors.
  • Responsible for the HSM technical installation supported by the PKI operator.
  • Support the execution of IT operational processes (backup, restore, DR replication, …).
  • Continuously support the execution of the PKI management cycle.
  • Produce PKI management reports and share with the PKI operations manager.
  • Support the on-boarding of consumer organizations.
  • Support the execution of internal audits and WebTrust audits.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and solving incidents within agreed timelines and ensure their satisfactory closure or escalating to the L3 team, if needed.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security threats in a distributed environment.

Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PKI operations and administration or attended detailed PKI operations and product training.
  • Proven experience as an application support engineer with a minimum of 5 years of IT experience.
  • Experience with PKI standard (e.g. X509).
  • Hands-on experience with leading products used for the PKI.
  • Hands-on experience with HSM administration with focus on Safenet HSMs.
  • Hands-on experience on OS and applications platforms on which PKI solution are deployed (e.g. Java applications servers, web servers).
  • Strong experience with security management principles (identity management, segregation of duties, business continuity…).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • You must be fluent in English. Knowledge of Arabic will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and customer oriented.
