Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience relevant to the required work and clinical area as determined by the Employer
Experience in the area of Lymphedema work is an asset.
Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) training is an asset
Education
Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
Licenses
Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to work independently
Requires initiative and judgement to plan, implement and modify treatment programs according to patient and program needs.
Requires concentration and attention for patient assessment, treatment, teaching and report writing.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, communicate and coordinate care with other health care team members and adapt to changing conditions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and all members of the health care team.
Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach.
Knowledge of Acute Therapy Services.
Familiarity with equipment requisitioning processes via SAC, SAIL, NIHB, private vendors and community services groups.
Knowledge of determinants of well-being.
Demonstrates value and appreciation of distinct qualities of others.
Requires coping skills to work with patients dealing with stress, role loss and other psychosocial issues.
Demonstrated skills in mentoring, training and clinically supervising staff, students and related disciplines.
Other Information
CPR certification Level “C” required.
May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)
