Position #: 001494 Expected Start Date: October 13, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Administration Office Rosetown City/Town: Rosetown Department: Physiotherapy Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: March 31, 2028 FTE: 0.9 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 100.8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physical Therapist - Degree Senior $43.402 to $53.195 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: The Physical Therapist – Degree – Senior provides leadership to the activities of the clinical service area of specialization within the physiotherapy service to ensure that patients referred to that service receive high quality physiotherapy and that students assigned to that unit receive clinical education of high standard. Responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients. Reports directly to Manager. Plans and delivers community therapy services to individuals, families and groups. Completes a needs analysis for individuals and groups within designated areas of the SHA. Based on this needs assessment, plans, develops and delivers treatment programs. This may include providing direct therapy to clients but often involves training and consulting to other caregivers who provide direct patient care. Organizes community therapy services in a designated area in accordance within the philosophy, objectives and policies of the community therapy program and the SHA. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Develops and implements a life-long post-graduate education plan
  • Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info.
  • Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
  • Initiative & judgment to plan implement/modify treatment programs for clients
  • Demonstrates responsible care and use of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to identify equipment repair needs and monitor supplies for ordering
  • Ability to be proactive and creative in decision making
  • Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
  • Promote professional development of staff and engender job satisfaction
  • Ability to promote a collaborative and team approach
  • Strong initiative and independent judgement to solve complex problems
  • Ability to assist clients dealing with stress, role loss, and other psych issues
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions
