Role Overview
Metro is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant for an existing permanent part-time position.
The role supports pharmacists with dispensary and pharmacy services while following company standards and Ontario College of Pharmacists standards of practice.
The position is located at 4510 Innes Rd, Ottawa, Ontario, with day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Compensation and Employment
- The position is permanent and part-time.
- The starting wage is $16.60 per hour under the applicable collective agreement, with possible higher placement within the established wage scale.
- The position is part of a unionized bargaining unit.
Responsibilities
- Perform dispensing activities and process prescription refill requests and verbal prescriptions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain patient profiles and records, contact prescribers, answer phones, and check IVR voicemail.
- Provide customer assistance on the sales floor and at the cash register.
- Receive and verify orders, store products appropriately, and perform inventory-related tasks.
- Reconcile invoices and credits, maintain shrink logs, use wholesaler websites, and assist with dispensary paperwork.
