Personal Support Worker

Position Details

Compensation

• Wage range is $31.00 to $31.89 per hour, with a non-negotiable start rate.

Duties

• Assist patients with feeding, lifts and transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Perform appropriately trained tasks assigned or delegated by an RN or RPN under their oversight.
• Communicate and demonstrate information according to each patient's established Plan of Care.
• Report and document unsafe conditions and patient behavioral, physical, or cognitive changes.
• Complete and maintain patient records and progress notes according to hospital policy.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority is required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
• Ability to manage daily mild to moderate physical exertion, including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and frequent movement.
