Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing elective and emergency procedures
- Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient history, surgical needs, and perioperative risk
- Monitor and manage patients throughout the perioperative period, including post anesthesia recovery
- Supervise and mentor junior anesthetists, residents, and fellows
- Participate in pediatric code blue and critical care response teams
- Contribute to departmental teaching, simulation training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with SCFHS regulations and hospital policies
- Engage in clinical research and continuing medical education
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Anesthesiology
- Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution
- Board certified (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2–5 years of post fellowship experience in pediatric anesthesia
- Eligible for Consultant classification by SCFHS
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage
- Strong communication and crisis management skills

Role Overview
