Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with gastrointestinal conditions
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop treatment plans
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists
- Participate in on call duties as required
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options
- Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with Saudi healthcare regulations
- Contribute to departmental quality improvement, clinical audits, and patient safety initiatives
- Support training and mentorship of junior doctors, residents, and allied health staff
- Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and incorporate new techniques
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Minimum 5 years of post qualification experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy
- Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must hold or be eligible for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing

- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, polypectomy, and ERCP (if applicable)
- Interpret imaging, laboratory results, and endoscopic findings to develop evidence‑based treatment plans
- Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, dietitians, and other specialists to ensure integrated patient care
- Participate in on‑call duties as required by the department

Qualifications
