Payroll Specialist

You are someone who takes ownership of your work and approaches challenges with curiosity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You enjoy learning new things, collaborating with others, and finding solutions that make processes better for employees and the organization. In addition, you bring: • 3–5 years of experience in Canadian payroll and benefits administration • Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation, or a desire to pursue professional payroll education • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, employment standards, and benefits administration practices • Experience working with unionized payroll environments considered a strong asset • Confidence working with technology and an eagerness to learn and embrace new HRIS and payroll systems • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, vendors, and colleagues • Strong attention to detail while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • A proactive, solution-focused mindset and willingness to step up when needed to support the team • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and exceptional customer service Most importantly, you are a team player who values collaboration, enjoys learning, and wants to contribute to a workplace where people genuinely support one another and take pride in the impact of their work.
