Payroll Specialist I

Summary

Responsibilities

• * Processes payroll forms for employees: Forms W-4, direct deposits, employee withholding agreements, and charitable contributions * Maintains payroll documents * Processes Workflows and tasks through * Calculates and processes garnishments * Generates deduction checks * Processes short-term disability and catastrophic payments * Uploads ACH/EFT files directly to bank * Assists in development of payroll training material for orientation and as requested by outside divisions * Assists outside departments with payroll questions and/or research * Conducts pay card training in new hire orientation * Performs all other duties as assigned

• Essential: * Basic Computer skills * Intermediate skill using Excel for multiple purposes * Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of products * 10-key adding machine * Accurately type 40 words per minute
