Payroll Officer

Manage end-to-end processing of Weekly and Fortnightly contractor payrolls in a high-volume environment.

Calculate and process ad hoc payments, including contractor bonuses and backpay adjustments.

Maintain and update payroll records, including superannuation, taxation, banking details, salary sacrifice- devices, and novated lease deductions.

Perform detailed payroll validation checks to identify discrepancies.

Ensure ongoing reconciliation of payroll data to maintain compliance and accuracy.

Prepare and perform weekly/fortnightly electronic funds transfers (EFT) and check runs.

Ensure all vendor discounts are captured, and payments are made within credit terms.

Manage employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card reconciliations.

Reconciliations & Reporting

Reconcile vendor statements monthly to ensure all liabilities are recorded.

Assist with month-end closing activities and accrual preparations.

Maintain the integrity of the Accounts Payable Ledger.

Act as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries from contractors and internal stakeholders.

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, including management of overpayment recoveries.

Distribute payslips and payroll communications within required timeframes.
