Role Overview
Join the client’s oil and gas workforce in Abu Dhabi as a Payroll Officer.
Process payroll for base staff, offshore timesheet-driven employees, and offshore freelance populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and process payroll inputs within cut-off timelines.
- Process salaries, allowances, deductions, promotions, revisions, new joiners, and leavers.
- Validate offshore timesheets and process timesheet-driven and freelance payroll.
- Prepare payroll outputs, bank files, WPS files, and supporting schedules.
- Support retroactive corrections, payroll reconciliations, and GL-related documentation.
- Respond to employee payroll queries and escalate complex or sensitive matters.
- Maintain payroll records, change logs, working papers, and audit documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with payroll policies and retention requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in oil and gas, offshore, or complex workforce environments.
- Experience with timesheet-based payroll, WPS, bank files, and payroll reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and MS Excel.
