Role overview
A building materials company is seeking a customer-focused Materials Lab Consultant for its Kitchen Division.
The hands-on role guides clients through kitchen material selections and converts showroom interactions into sales.
Key responsibilities
- Understand showroom visitors’ kitchen requirements, preferences, and project scope.
- Recommend worktops, finishes, cabinetry materials, fittings, and related solutions.
- Handle enquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up to drive conversions.
- Maintain knowledge of products, specifications, applications, and latest offerings.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams on bespoke requirements.
- Keep product samples and showroom displays organized and visually appealing.
- Maintain client records and nurture repeat and referral relationships.
- Achieve assigned sales goals and support showroom performance.
Requirements
- Experience in showroom, retail, or consultative sales, ideally in kitchen, interiors, furniture, or building materials.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of kitchen materials, finishes, or basic design concepts is advantageous.
- Customer-oriented and commercially driven approach.
- Confidence in handling sales conversations.
