Position overview
Join the Financial Services Section within the Office of the Chief Constable at Surrey Police Service.
Perform specialized and complex payroll work, integrating payroll information into a computerized financial system accurately and efficiently.
Exercise considerable responsibility and independence while reviewing payroll data, troubleshooting system issues, identifying discrepancies, and improving processes.
Schedule
- The anticipated schedule is 7 hours per day and 35 hours per week.
- Hours are subject to change based on operational needs and the Collective Agreement.
Workplace
- This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
- Process pay period end activities and produce accurate, timely pay cheques for all employees.
- Review and implement payroll regulations and employee information-gathering procedures with the Manager.
- Interpret acts, regulations, and collective agreement provisions related to payroll.
