Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team at our Riyadh location.

The Payroll Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of payroll records.

The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of payroll processes, and meticulous attention to detail.

Skills & Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations, deductions, and benefits.
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to attendance and working hours.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments and management.
  • Handle tax calculations, deductions, and submissions, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, both electronically and in hard copies.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payroll expenses and liabilities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, tax withholding, and deductions.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor standards.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information and seamless data flow.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X+ years) as a Payroll Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with employees and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle complex payroll scenarios.
