Payroll Accountant

Competitive salary: $75,000-$100,000 annually, depending on the candidate's primary home location and applicable geographic pay range.

As part of this position, you will:

Own the payroll accounting cycle in Oracle - including posting to the general ledger weekly and monthly reconciliations of payroll, benefits, and Workers' Compensation accounts.

Maintain a high level of proficiency in the payroll and accounting software (Oracle Human Capital Management and Oracle Fusion ERP) and optimize their use to enhance internal processes and reporting.

Prepare documentation for audits (Workers' Comp, OSHA, internal/external) and keep payroll records compliance-ready.

Partner with Accounting, Payroll, and Operations departments to identify and resolve discrepancies and support budgeting and forecasting.

Take initiative to identify areas of improvement and implement changes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. Other education in conjunction with relevant experience may be considered.

2+ years of payroll and accounting experience.

Experience working Oracle Human Capital Management and/or Oracle Fusion ERP required.

Experience in construction accounting preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft office products.

Strong attention to detail and comfort working with compliance-heavy, audit-facing work.
