Parent Engagement Worker

This rewarding opportunity based in the Northern Suburbs works alongside parents, children and families to build confidence, strengthen parenting skills and support positive outcomes for children. Provide tailored education and brief interventions, complete assessments, develop practical action plans and connect families with the right services and supports. You will also facilitate groups that build parental knowledge and skills, while working collaboratively with colleagues, community organisations and other support services across Perth.

You build trust easily, listen without judgement and can bring warmth, confidence and professionalism to sometimes complex situations. You enjoy working alongside families to understand what matters to them and celebrate progress along the way. You’re comfortable working independently, thinking creatively and building strong relationships across the community. Your key experience will include:

Degree qualifications and prior experience in a relevant sector

evidence-based therapeutic, educational or early intervention for people experiencing complex or challenging circumstances

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with diverse families and communities

A flexible, innovative and self-directed approach, with confidence working both independently and as part of a team

Current Driver’s Licence

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
