Responsibilities
- Deputise for a senior company employee within the Typhoon Maintenance Organisation, responsible for aspects of Parachute Fabrications Shop
- Uphold a safety first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines
- Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management practices, and regulatory requirements
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization
- Monitor standards of personnel, identify negative trends, and provide training and development
- Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment and ensure correct tooling and approved data availability
Requirements
- Experience in parachute fabrication and maintenance
- Supervisory or management experience in a maintenance environment
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and airworthiness regulations
- Ability to hold 2nd Signature and maintain competency currency for Martin Baker Parachute Fabrications pack authorisations

Outline Responsibility
- Safety: Uphold a safety first approach, implementing safety measures and guidelines to protect personnel, product and operations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to BAE Systems Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) practices, Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness (M&CA) Mandates, Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), and Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Logistics Management Regulations (LMR).
- Support: Enhancing customer satisfaction in supporting maintenance, airworthiness, safety and continual improvement.
- Continuous Improvements (CI): Strive for business excellence, by driving a culture of CI throughout the maintenance organization.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable to their Primary Line Manager; direct access to Secondary Line Manager for independent route to address issues.
- Undertake review of maintenance and challenge current practices and identify potential capacity for improvements.
- Recognising any malpractice that could affect airworthiness or safety and raising the issue/concern to the Senior Maintenance Manager.
- Ensuring necessary facilities resource are available in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor standards of personnel to identify negative trends, non conformities or motivational deficiencies.
- Accountable for all person's development reports within direct and indirect line management.
- Provide training, consolidation and counterpart development activities to RSAF and BAE Systems personnel.
- Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timeframes to support Forward Maintenance and SMU activities.
- Maintain operational readiness of shop equipment in line with the shop component repair plan and schedule necessary calibrations.
- Ensure correct tooling, approved data is available.
- Raise appropriate media for deficiencies in approved data.
- Ensure all personnel undertaking maintenance are authorised.
