Painter

The Paint Technician is responsible for preparing and painting transformer units. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role. The hours for this role are Monday-Thursday 6:00AM to 4:30PM.

· Review checklist and follow work order instructions to ensure compliance with specifications.

· Assess units prior to painting and check for issues (defects, leaks, etc.), escalate defect issues to lead or supervisor if discovered.

· Mix paint and ensure the viscosity is consistent with specifications.

· As needed replace paint in pots/drums.

· Ensure paint guns are all in working order and spray pattern consistency is correct prior to painting the equipment.

· Cl ean unit off accordingly by air or tack cloth.

· Apply primer and paint as required to comply with quality expectations.

· After primer and paint is complete look over unit to ensure quality expectations are met.

· If unit is dissembled spray unit parts as required.

· Once unit is complete move to final assembly.

· Following all safety protocols which includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator, glove, safety glasses, etc.

· Maintain safe, clean and orderly workstation and area.

· Other duties assigned.
