- Perform various painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, painting, and finishing
- Select and mix paints, ensuring color matching and consistency
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes
- Apply paint, stain, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Protect furniture, fixtures, and other items from paint or damage during the painting process
- Work with a variety of painting materials, including water based and oil based paints, varnishes, and specialty coatings
- Collaborate with other maintenance professionals to coordinate and execute painting projects
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make necessary touch ups or corrections
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Maintain an organized inventory of painting supplies, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with supervisors to plan and prioritize painting projects based on hotel needs
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on industry trends, safety protocols, and new painting techniques
