The Packaging Engineer II is responsible for new packaging design, development, and implementation; and/or to maintain packaging systems currently in the market by providing innovative medical device packaging to further Zimmer Biomet’s mission and grow Zimmer Biomet’s market leadership position.
Work Location: Bangalore Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in office) Shift Timing - 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Demonstrates medical packaging design and development execution within a multi-disciplinary project team desired with minor guidance.
Assists/Conducts and owns testing to support project activities with minor guidance.
Generates prototype models to evaluate design concepts.
Coordinates packaging evaluations with internal/external customers.
Generates protocols for testing/analyzing of packaging.
Leads design control process related documentation to support projects with guidance.
Leads creation and preparation of documentation for regulatory submissions with guidance.
Acts as project manager for small scale projects with lower technical complexity with minimal guidance for new packaging development, transfers and/or design changes.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, including Visio and Excel required.
Working knowledge of drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerances preferred.
Familiar with FDA and EU MDR medical packaging regulatory requirements, standards and associated test methods desired.
Awareness of medical packaging materials and material processes desired.

B.S. required, preferably in Packaging Engineering or Engineering discipline
2 to 5 years of full-time (including relevant ZB Coop/Intern) packaging experience.
Foundational experience in packaging engineering for regulated products (medical device or pharma preferred)
Understanding of packaging design, development and basic validation concepts, ability to support packaging design updates, testing, and documentation
Familiarity with packaging standards and regulatory expectations
