- Drive AI First Development by embedding AI assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) into daily workflow
- Architect Scalable Financial Solutions across Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP
- Build Intelligent Integrations between accounting systems, data lakes, and internal applications using SQL, PL/SQL and integration technologies
- Actively identify system inefficiencies and deploy automation to scale financial workflows
- Own Technical Execution by translating complex accounting principles into concrete, scalable technical designs
Requirements
- Proven hands on experience configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP
- Strong proficiency in relational databases, advanced SQL/PL/SQL, and web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)
- Demonstrated experience in accounting process transformations, financial data modeling, and end to end solution architecture
- Ability to navigate complex organizational dependencies, breaking down technical debt into streamlined, automated processes

The Role
- We are looking for a strategic, hands on Oracle Fusion Techno Functional Developer to lead the next wave of finance technology transformation at Block.
- This role owns the architecture and scaling of the technology stack that powers our core financial engine across Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and FP&A.
- We operate with an AI first engineering mindset.
You will
- Drive AI First Development: Embed AI assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot) into your daily workflow to accelerate code generation, automate testing, and elevate delivery velocity.
- Architect Scalable Financial Solutions: Design and maintain robust data models and solution architectures across Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP to support complex accounting operations and downstream reporting.
- Build Intelligent Integrations: Architect, build, and support seamless integrations between accounting systems, data lakes, and internal applications using SQL, PL/SQL and integration technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON).
- Operational Excellence: Actively identify system inefficiencies and deploy automation to scale financial workflows, decoupling business growth from manual operational overhead.
- Own Technical Execution: Translate complex accounting principles and business requirements into concrete, scalable technical designs and comprehensive documentation.
Qualifications
- Oracle Fusion Expertise: Proven hands on experience configuring, customizing, and supporting Oracle FAH, GL, SLA, and BIP.
- Data Engineering Skills: Strong proficiency in relational databases, advanced SQL/PL/SQL, and web services (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML).
- Systems Architecture: Demonstrated experience in accounting process transformations, financial data modeling, and end to end solution architecture.
- Pragmatic Problem Solver: Ability to navigate complex organizational dependencies, breaking down technical debt into streamlined, automated processes.
Nice to haves
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
- Experience navigating peripheral financial modules intersecting with accounting data (Tax, FCCS).
- Previous experience in fintech, banking, or cryptocurrency platforms.
