About the Role
Emirates Driving Institute is seeking an Optometrist with a DHA Optometry license to perform eye examinations for driving license applicants. Duties include checking visual acuity, color vision, and uploading results to the RTA portal.

- Greet the customer
- Check the case history
- Perform thorough routine eye inspections
- Assess customer’s/student’s eye to identify vision’s status
- Conduct basic eye examination using optometric device like an occluder to check visual acuity
- Check field of vision and hand eye coordination if necessary
- Perform color vision/colorblindness test using Ishihara test plates
- Recommend glasses if needed
- Upload eye test result in RTA Eye test Information portal
- Keep a record of student’s eye test reports
Requirements
- DHA Optometry license (required; MOH license must be converted to DHA)
- Customer Service experience
- Good Communication Skills
- Good computer skills

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet the customer
- Check the Case history
- Perform thorough routine eye inspections
- Assess customer’s/student’s eye to identify vision’s status
- Conduct the basic eye examination using optometric device like an occluder to check the Visual acuity of Right eye and Left eye.
- And if necessary check the field of vision and hand eye coordination.
- Perform the Colorvision/Colorblindness test using Ishihara test plates
- Recommend glasses if needed. Inform the customer to wear medical glasses/corrective lenses while driving for a better vision.
- Upload the eye test result in RTA Eye test Information portal
- Keep a record of student’s eyetests report
License/Certification
- DHA Optometry License (MUST)
- DHA License (Required)
