Optometric Assistant - Fixed Term, Full-Time

Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, manage patient check in and check out and engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email

Perform pre-testing to support comprehensive eye care

Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance

Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist

Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments

Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts

Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties

Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders

Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience

Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required

Past or current CCOA designation preferred

Minimum 3 years optical experience required

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences
