About the Role

Responsibilities
- Safely handle, transport, and store explosives and detonating devices according to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Prepare explosive charges and detonating systems for deployment in wellbore operations
- Execute deployment and detonation of explosive charges in accordance with operational plans and safety guidelines
- Collaborate closely with logging services team to coordinate activities and integrate explosive operations
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice
- Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment in working condition
- Provide on the job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in explosives handling or a related field, preferably in oil and gas
- Certification or training in explosives handling and safety (e.g., Explosives Handler Certification) highly desirable
- Familiarity with wireline logging operations and equipment is an advantage
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments, including outdoor and offshore

Job Purpose
- Responsible for safely and efficiently handling explosives and detonating devices during wireline logging operations.
- Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and procedures while maintaining operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities Job Specific
- Safely handle, transport, and store explosives and detonating devices according to established safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare explosive charges and detonating systems for deployment in wellbore operations, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Execute the deployment and detonation of explosive charges in accordance with operational plans and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the logging services team to coordinate activities and ensure seamless integration of explosive operations with overall logging operations.
- Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
Generic Accountabilities
- Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures.
- Provide on the job Training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.
- Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
- Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
- Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies.
- Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job.
- Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports.
- Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in explosives handling or a related field, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Certification or training in explosives handling and safety (e.g., Explosives Handler Certification) is highly desirable.
