The Operator III is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment at medium to large-sized water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.

High School Diploma or GED required .
Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater operations.
Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
Wastewater Operator License required .
Other certifications may vary depending on site-specific needs.
Advanced knowledge of water/wastewater operations.
Ability to interpret operational manuals and instructions.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based tools.
Clear and professional communication.
Ability to collaborate across teams, maintain composure under pressure, and provide thorough information to colleagues and clients.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex issues.
Escalates concerns appropriately and shares ideas to enhance quality and productivity.

Capable of working independently and completing projects with minimal supervision.
Manages multiple priorities efficiently and adheres to company policies and SOPs.

Must be able to frequently lift 50–60 pounds; move heavy equipment/tools; access confined spaces; walk and climb stairs and ladders regularly.
