Role Overview
The Distribution Center Operative carries out warehouse operations including shipment receiving, checking, order preparation, and dispatching.
Warehouse Responsibilities
- Unload, check, and put away incoming consignments.
- Pick and pack customer orders according to requirements.
- Check, dispatch, and load vehicles against dispatch documentation.
- Perform scanning, cello wrapping, heat shrinking, labelling, and other value-added services.
- Maintain accurate stock replenishment.
- Assist with stock counts, verifications, and assigned projects.
- Follow standard processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Use and maintain machinery, equipment, consumables, and other resources carefully and efficiently.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse and supply areas.
- Report damaged or defective stock, equipment, fixtures, fittings, and material-handling equipment.
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy and maintain a cooperative, customer-focused work environment.
- Support health, safety, and environmental performance in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
