Primary Purpose of the Job
Supervise gas transmission and distribution through control stations, pipelines, manifolds, and let-down stations.
Monitor systems and coordinate safe, efficient gas distribution to local customers.
Minimize outages and ensure faults are reported and attended to quickly.
Operational Responsibilities
- Supervise operation of Central Master Control Stations and monitor the Pipeline Management System and metering systems.
- Control manifold and let-down stations and ensure they operate efficiently.
- Supervise SCADA and Pipeline Management System maintenance.
- Coordinate gas distribution through stations and associated pipelines to local customers.
- Maximize use of available resources while maintaining safe and efficient gas distribution.
Safety and Compliance
- Develop and direct safe working practices in all operational areas.
- Ensure all applicable regulations are followed.
- Operational decisions can affect customer continuity, pipeline distribution, revenue, and downstream power and industrial consumers.
