Primary Purpose of the Job
Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations at the Hazardous Waste Treatment Centre.
Ensure reliable, uninterrupted, optimized, and safe operation of the facility.
Ensure received hazardous waste is treated and disposed of according to prevailing environmental regulations and procedures.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large chemical, petrochemical, or oil and gas industries.
- At least 5 years of experience in hazardous waste treatment or management.
- PLC or SCADA experience is advantageous.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste classification, characterization, treatment, and disposal regulations and procedures.
- Strong technical and scientific background for analyzing data and documentation and preparing technical reports.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with international environmental rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of US EPA SW-846 and 40 CFR 261, 262, 263, and 268 is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, PFDs, and P&IDs.
- Computer literacy is essential.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Sc. or B.Tech degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
- Postgraduate qualification in Organic or Inorganic Chemistry.
