Operations Program Specialist II

Coach, train, and mentor cross-functional teams in proper use and application of Lean tools including, but not limited to, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Standard Work, 6S, SMED, Kanban, GEMBA walks, A3 Thinking, Single Piece Flow and Visual Management.

Run daily and weekly Tier Meetings.

Develop material handling best practices to support various program builds.

Deploy line leveling methodologies to create a continuous flow on the production floor.

Run continuous improvement efforts at both the production line and factory level.

Identify value and perform VSM to understand the sequence of activities and information necessary to produce products in order to identify and eliminate waste.

Act to eliminate the wasteful practices of Muda, Muri and Mura with specific emphasis on elimination of the 7 wastes and the removal of unevenness in operations.

Lead the implementation of the Tactical Solutions Production System.

Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
