Job Description
Defining, evaluating, and maintaining component performance requirements.
Supporting value engineering projects with customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement through cost / risk reductions and producibility / reliability enhancements.
Providing on-site design engineering guidance and support to the manufacturing, quality, and supply chain organizations (e.g. component investigations/root cause analysis and shortage / obsolescence mitigation)
Liaising with Design Engineering in Endicott, New York on design changes.
Required Skills and Education
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree with 0-2 years’ experience.
- General understanding of electronic and mechanical components and their associated datasheets.
- Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and critical thinking.
- Ability to interpret and implement requirements specifications.
- General understanding of electronics manufacturing process.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
