Role Overview
The Operations Manager directs end-to-end event execution, vendor ecosystems, and ground logistics.
The role connects creative design with real-world execution and oversees schedules, contracts, safety, budgets, and operations teams.
Strategic Operations and Execution
- Translate creative renders and briefs into operational schedules, technical run sheets, and site build blueprints.
- Direct load-in, build-out, live-event cues, and teardown across multi-venue environments.
- Lead structural, staging, lighting, and audiovisual setups against approved layouts and brand standards.
- Manage real-time risk, crisis mitigation, and contingency plans during live events.
Vendor Management and Quality
- Build, negotiate, and maintain a preferred network of fabrication, AV, staging, security, and logistics vendors.
- Enforce quality standards for materials, safety certifications, and delivery timelines.
- Evaluate high-value production RFPs to optimize profit margins without compromising quality.
Safety, Permitting and Compliance
- Oversee site risk assessments, fire safety protocols, structural integrity checks, and crowd management strategies.
- Secure government, municipal, venue, and licensing permissions for sound, electrical, and public safety.
- Enforce PPE, load-limit, structural-rigging, and other workplace safety standards on-site.
Budget and Team Leadership
- Manage fabrication, logistics, venue, and manpower costs to control operational budgets.
- Lead, mentor, and schedule Operations Executives, site supervisors, technical crews, freelancers, and vendor crews.
- Conduct post-event audits, vendor reviews, and financial reconciliations with the finance team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Five to eight years of hands-on operations, production, or technical event management experience.
- Experience in an event management agency, large-scale production house, or live entertainment firm.
- Knowledge of structural fabrication, rigging, staging, LED and AV specifications, power distribution, and CAD layouts.
- Ability to lead large on-site teams and remain calm and decisive during high-stress live events.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹62,500 to ₹79,000 per month.
