Role Overview

The Associate, Operations reports to the Manager, Operations and supports the day-to-day operational delivery of Ghaf Benefits.

The role covers employer and employee onboarding, transaction processing, reconciliations, data management, reporting, service-provider coordination, and issue resolution.

The role supports accurate and timely processing in accordance with established procedures and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily platform operations and complete assigned activities accurately within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate onboarding, account setup, contributions, redemptions, transfers, and ongoing servicing.
  • Process and validate operational instructions and supporting documentation against approved procedures.
  • Perform reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and support timely resolution and escalation.
  • Maintain operational data, trackers, records, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports, management information, dashboards, and stakeholder updates.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and third-party service providers on requests, queries, and actions.
  • Monitor workflows, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate delays or material issues.
  • Respond to operational queries and investigate incidents, discrepancies, and processing errors.
  • Maintain procedures, process maps, checklists, and other operational documentation.
  • Support readiness for new clients, products, investment options, system enhancements, and process changes.
  • Participate in testing, validation, improvement, automation, audit, compliance, risk, and control activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • At least four years of relevant operations experience is required.
  • Relevant sectors include retirement solutions, pensions, asset management, wealth management, banking, fund administration, and financial services.
  • Candidates should understand onboarding, transaction processing, reconciliations, data management, reporting, and exception handling.
  • Experience with procedures, control checklists, service requests, and supporting documentation is required.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organisation, and attention-to-detail skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Workflow, reporting, or financial-services platform experience is advantageous.
  • Experience in a regulated or institutionally governed environment is advantageous.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or progress toward certification are advantageous but not required.
