Operational Technology Engineer

support and troubleshoot fleet-management and dispatch applications, field hardware, and supporting networks;

lead, maintain, and develop automation equipment and communications systems across the operation, including industrial communications, wireless and radio networks, servers, workstations, OT cybersecurity controls, and technical change management; and

maintain a strong focus on system reliability, supervising personnel as required and driving continuous improvement to ensure technology systems support safe, efficient mine-site outputs.

To succeed, you will hold a relevant trade qualification and/or tertiary engineering qualification, supported by practical experience in network design and management. You will have experience in mining OT, fleet management, dispatch, automation, communications, or industrial-control systems.

Knowledge of IT networking and system administration is desirable. Experience with Modular Mining, Caterpillar MineStar, Hexagon, Mineware, Wenco, or similar dispatch platforms is highly regarded. Experience with SCADA, PLCs, industrial Ethernet or wireless networks, Windows/Linux systems, OT cybersecurity, and data-analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Excel will be advantageous. You will be safety-foused, able to troubleshoot under operational pressure, and confident communicating with operators, dispatchers, supervisors, suppliers, and technical teams.
