Reporting to the Area Superintendent, you will be responsible for leading and developing operational crews within Smelting Services to achieve production, safety, quality and people performance objectives. Operating on a rotating shift roster, you will foster a high-performing team culture, empower employees to take ownership of their work and provide visible leadership that drives safe, reliable and sustainable operational outcomes through coaching, development and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:

Monitoring operational performance and facilitating corrective actions to improve reliability, productivity and team effectiveness.
Providing regular feedback, training and development opportunities to enhance capability.
Leading and supporting crews across a rotating shift roster to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production outcomes while maintaining continuity between shifts.
Facilitating collaboration across operational areas to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing and achievement of business objectives.

Experience leading or supervising teams within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, processing, mining, smelting or production environment.
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop individuals building high-performing teams.
Strong commitment to safety leadership, hazard identification and risk management.
The ability to lead diverse crews within a 24/7 shift-based operation, maintaining performance, communication and team effectiveness across rotating rosters.
Ability to communicate effectively, influence outcomes and build strong working relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
Continuous improvement initiatives that solve operational problems.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance people, production and operational priorities.
