Education: Grade 12 Secondary School Graduation Diploma

Experience: Qualification as a 3rd Class Operating Engineer in the Province of Ontario (Standardized) Valid Class G Ontario Drivers license.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of all applicable codes and standards including the Technical Standards and Safety Act – Ontario Regulation #219/01 – Operating Engineers, and all applicable CNL procedures to provide a safe and healthy work environment. Demonstrate use and endorsement of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Knowledge of high-pressure steam boilers and related control systems. Written and verbal communication skills to be able to work in multi-trade groups and communicate with CNL staff across a broad range of disciplines. Good computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office to update and write procedures, create spreadsheets, input data, and communicate via email.

Security Clearance Eligibility Required Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
