The Role

We are seeking a Oligonucleotide Development Scientist to join our oligonucleotide development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment focused on continuous process improvement and developing high-quality sequencing products.

As part of the oligonucleotide development team, you will contribute to defining technical requirements and specifications, facilitate oligonucleotide sourcing, and resolving oligonucleotide-related product performance and manufacturing challenges In this role, you will apply your expertise in analytical and oligonucleotide chemistry to support oligonucleotide characterisation and stability studies, process development and supplier technical evaluation. This role is ideal for someone with strong laboratory experience, excellent communication and collaborative skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

MSc, PhD or equivalent in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related scientific discipline.

Hands-on experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC and LC-MS (experience with CE is advantageous).

Practical laboratory experience in analytical chemistry and the characterisation of biomolecules.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design, execute and interpret experiments.

Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to a range of audiences.

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
