About the Role

Core Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean freight shipments across export activities, including bookings, documentation, and cargo movement.
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers, customers, and internal teams.
• Track shipments, maintain accurate records, and update freight management systems such as CargoWise One.
• Manage customer inquiries and communicate shipment delays or changes clearly.
• Assist with invoicing, cost entry, and general administrative tasks.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Four or more years of ocean freight export operations experience is requested, with openness to candidates who have relevant training or exposure.
• Foundational knowledge of customs and maritime regulations is required for daily compliance activities.
• Dangerous Goods certification is required.
• Familiarity with freight management systems and Microsoft Office tools is required.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, pressure management, teamwork, proactivity, and customer focus are expected.

Location

• The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
