Job Summary
The role administers Microsoft SQL Server environments and supports database availability, reliability, security, and performance for mission-critical applications.
Location
- The source lists Coimbatore as the primary location and Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad as secondary locations.
Experience and Availability
- At least 5 years of experience is requested.
- Immediate joiners are requested by the source posting.
- Mandatory skills include Oracle Linux administration and Red Hat Linux administration.
Database Administration
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases and support cloud databases on Amazon RDS.
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances in production and non-production environments.
- Monitor performance, optimize T-SQL queries, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve database issues.
- Implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, high availability, replication, and clustering solutions.
- Perform database migrations from on-premises environments to Amazon RDS.
- Manage logins, roles, permissions, data integrity, security, and organizational compliance.
- Perform index rebuilds, statistics updates, SQL log reviews, and system health monitoring.
