About the Nursing Home Cook Role

Nursing Home Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents in our nursing home facility
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety guidelines
• Work closely with the dietary team to plan and prepare meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
• Collaborate with caregivers to ensure that meals are served in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, inventory, and production
• Participate in menu planning and food preparation for special events and functions
• Ensure that all resident requests and complaints are addressed promptly and professionally

Nursing Home Cook Requirements

• Prior experience preferred (entry-level candidates welcome to apply)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies
