Job Summary

The Nursery Receptionist is the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff.

This role involves managing front desk operations, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and organized environment within the nursery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet parents, children, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, registrations, and contact details
  • Handle admissions inquiries and assist with enrollment procedures
  • Schedule appointments and meetings for nursery management
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and follow safeguarding procedures
  • Support communication between parents and teaching staff
  • Maintain filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Process payments, invoices, and basic financial records (if required)
  • Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Assist with general administrative duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable, and patient personality
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience working in a school or childcare setting (preferred)

Qualifications

  • College diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Diploma or certification in administration or childcare (preferred)
  • With 1 year Experienced in Administration/ Nursery Receptionist

Working Conditions

  • Typically based at the nursery front desk
  • May require occasional flexibility in working hours
  • Interaction with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis
