Job Summary
The Nursery Receptionist is the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff.
This role involves managing front desk operations, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a welcoming, safe, and organized environment within the nursery.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet parents, children, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, registrations, and contact details
- Handle admissions inquiries and assist with enrollment procedures
- Schedule appointments and meetings for nursery management
- Ensure all visitors sign in and follow safeguarding procedures
- Support communication between parents and teaching staff
- Maintain filing systems (digital and physical)
- Process payments, invoices, and basic financial records (if required)
- Monitor office supplies and place orders when necessary
- Assist with general administrative duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
- Proven experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and patient personality
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience working in a school or childcare setting (preferred)
Qualifications
- College diploma or equivalent (required)
- Diploma or certification in administration or childcare (preferred)
- With 1 year Experienced in Administration/ Nursery Receptionist
Working Conditions
- Typically based at the nursery front desk
- May require occasional flexibility in working hours
- Interaction with children, parents, and staff on a daily basis
