- Oversee the daily operations of the child care centre
- Ensure the centre provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational plans
- Maintain appropriate child to staff ratios in accordance with licensing requirements
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise teachers and support staff
- Prepare employee schedules and manage attendance
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching and professional development

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field
- A Cache 5 certificate is a must
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education or child care
- At least 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a nursery setting
- Experience with licensing compliance, staff supervision, and centre administration is preferred

Job Summary
- As a nursery manager, you are responsible for the overall administration, operation, and management of the centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the child care centre.
- Ensure the centre provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and families.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational plans.
- Maintain appropriate child to staff ratios in accordance with licensing requirements.
Staff Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and supervise teachers and support staff.
- Prepare employee schedules and manage attendance.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and provide coaching and professional development.
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture.
Childcare & Educational Programs
- Ensure high quality early childhood education and care programmes.
- Monitor curriculum implementation and classroom activities.
- Support children's learning, development, health, and emotional well being.
- Encourage inclusive practices that meet the needs of all children.
Parent & Community Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians.
- Communicate regularly regarding children's progress and centre activities.
- Address parent concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Organise parent meetings, events, and community engagement activities.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all local licensing, health, safety, and child protection regulations.
- Maintain accurate records for children, staff, attendance, incidents, and inspections.
- Conduct regular health, safety, and emergency preparedness drills.
- Ensure all staff maintain required certifications and background clearances.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Monitor enrolment, fee collection, and operational expenses.
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
- Order educational materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Quality Assurance
- Monitor the quality of childcare services and educational programmes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and quality assessments.
- Ensure the centre consistently meets organisational goals and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience
