The NP (Nurse Practitioner) is an advanced practice nurse leader functioning in an expanded nursing role as Most Responsible Provider (MRP) for our post-acute outpatients. The NP-MRP practices autonomously to their full scope of practice in the outpatient setting, collaborating as necessary with the Psychiatrist team, with support from the larger interprofessional team. Additionally, the NP will work collaboratively with the psychiatrists and interprofessional team on the mental health inpatient unit assessing physical health conditions and promotion of health.

• Master's Degree in Nursing. • Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in the Extended Class (RN-EC), NP Adult preferred, or Primary Health Care NP Certificate with relevant hospital experience. • A minimum of 3 years related clinical experience caring for patients with acute mental health conditions in either a primary care or acute care setting. • Able to prescribe controlled substances as authorized by CNO. • Current certification in ACLS or BCLS, or proof of enrolment in a recertification course. You will be asked to provide a copy of your valid certificate at the time of hire/transfer. • Experience as NP-MRP is preferred but not mandatory. • Must have a satisfactory Criminal Record / Vulnerable Sector Check.
