Facilities Services Representative

Duties

• Performs core cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness of common and non-patient areas, internally and externally, as well as equipment contained within Quinte Health. • Restocks supplies in each area. • Laundry duties including inventory, distribution and online ordering. • Operates industrial washer and dryer. • Performs all duties related to core housekeeping services, including collecting, disposing, and transportation of waste, confidential waste, supplies, materials and equipment according to specified guidelines. • Participates in scheduled cleaning projects as required. • Operates, maintains the cleanliness of the compactor, shredder and bailer, processes all related material according to established guidelines, and maintains appropriate records. • Identifies maintenance needs to the Team Leader. • Transports specific equipment and supplies to other proper locations or storage areas within each hospital location in accordance with safe handling techniques.
