Education
Graduate from school of general nursing with training in psychiatric nursing
Other Education and Training
Current registration w/College of Reg Psych Nurses of SK (CRPNS) required
Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable

Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions
Extensive knowledge of community resources for clients and caregivers
Excellent knowledge and skills related to community psychiatric nursing practice
Demonstrated leadership skills, workload management and administration skills.
Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
Ability to formulate evidence-based intervention based on clinical presentation
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent consultation & public relation skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure
Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty.
Demonstrated approaches to problem solving w/strong decision-making capability
